Job Responsibilities
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis and provide feedback to the team
- Participate and contribute to investment meetings
- Understand and embrace the investment process and philosophy
- Engage with various stakeholders to develop an understanding of business requirements
- Perform book reviews as part of ongoing learning and development
- Capture data and contribute to financial models
- Perform industry analysis as part of the contribution to the team’s research
- Develop a relationship with investment team members and assist with ad-hoc queries
- Update and maintain databases to improve financial analysis
- Participate in creating a culture of idea generation, continuous learning, and shared knowledge.
- Identify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from leadership.
- Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within a specified time frame.
- Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate.
- Express ideas or facts clearly in written documentation so that the content is understood by the recipient.
- Develop sound product and industry knowledge and understand the regulatory framework.
- Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impact the role by reading the relevant newsletters; websites and attending sessions.
- Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with the team and stakeholders.
- Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in the field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers
- Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in the performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed; experience practiced and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames.
- Ensure information is provided correctly to stakeholders by maintaining knowledge and sharing knowledge with the team.
Essential Qualifications – NQF Level
Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree
Preferred Qualification
Studying towards Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Minimum Experience Level
Graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Investment Management or a similar NQF 7 commercial degree.
0 – 1 year experience in the financial or banking industry.
Marks will be considered from 65% plus (NB: the transcripts will be requested)
