SASSA SRD R350 Status Check And Updates

Sassa, it is done with reconsideration payments and we’ve already moved to another phase  since yesterday.

Those who made appeals before, please do so once again, Sassa is busy with appeals and those who qualify will be paid all their money owed by Sassa starting from this month since the start of the SRD grant. Some who made appeals are already approved.

Check your status from tomorrow 15 Wednesday, Sassa payments dates will start tomorrow. Those who have applied first are the ones to be paid first then followed by those who applied late. But all beneficiaries who qualify for this grant will get all their money (R1 050) from tomorrow.

Those who made reconsiderations since August 2021 are now approved with dates and will get all their money same time (R3 850) accordingly.

If you have made a reconsideration, Check your status now to see when is your payment date.

All qualifying beneficiaries who applied in April will receive all their money (R1 050) in June.

But no one will receive all the money in a single day/week. Sassa will pay R350 week by week until the end of the month. Payment will start in mid-June.

Anyone who receives R350 and more from financial support, from family members or Friends will be excluded from the social Relief distress grant this time around as it targets the poorest people.

Sassa SRD grant beneficiaries can update their new number using the SRD grant website. You can change to a new number if you no longer have access to the old number.

South African Social Social Security Agency (Sassa) has stated that if your R350 grant application has been approved, then you can use the options listed below to collect your grant payment

  • Checkers
  • Usage
  • Shoprite
  • Pick ‘n Pay
  • Boxer

Sassa has also advised R350 grant recipients to routinely check their SRD application status by visiting the SRD website: https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status 

Additionally, SRD grant recipients are reminded to always have a registered cellphone number, preferably the one used during the applications process when collecting their grant payments from the above-mentioned retail outlets.
