For Post-2008 Senior Certificate Holders:
Academic Qualifications:
Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) with the minimum requirements for admission to diploma studies.
English: Level 4
Life Sciences (Biology): Level 4 or Physical Science: Level 3
Mathematics Literacy: Level 4 or Mathematics: Level 3
Minimum of 23 points (24 if Mathematical Literacy applies), excluding Life Orientation.
Computer Literacy (NQF Level 3) recommended.
For Pre-2008 Senior Certificate Holders:
Academic Qualifications:
Grade 12 with an aggregate of 950 marks or higher.
English: Minimum HG symbol D or SG symbol C.
Life Sciences (Biology): Minimum HG symbol D or SG symbol C, OR Physical Science: Minimum HG symbol E or SG symbol D.
Mathematics: Minimum HG symbol E or SG symbol D.
Computer Literacy (NQF Level 3) recommended.
For National Vocational Certificate Holders:
Academic Qualifications:
National Vocational Certificate (equivalent to Grade 12 at NQF Level 4).
