Job Summary
The Finance Graduate will participate in a 12-month programme designed to provide practical experience and training in finance-related tasks. Responsibilities include processing and posting invoices, reconciling creditors’ accounts, resolving queries, paying creditors, and confirming intercompany balances.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with the following tasks:
- Invoice and Payment Processing:
- Receive and verify invoices and relevant documentation for processing payments
- Follow up on missing documentation
- Ensure payments are authorized according to financial procedures
- Day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions for payment authorization
- Validate, approve, and post invoices
- Vendor Management:
- Prepare vendor reconciliations
- Resolve vendor queries
- Prepare paperwork/backup documents for payment runs
- Ensure suppliers are paid according to pre-determined payment terms
- Monitor vendor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Forward proof of payments to suppliers when required
- Maintain an accurate filing system for the creditors function
- General Financial Duties:
- Assist with general administration and financial duties
- Confirm intercompany balances
- Ensure the vendor age analysis has no queries (especially no debit or old outstanding balances)
- Verify B-BBEE status with vendors
- Accurately capture company credit card transactions within the correct period
- Purchase order and open receipt maintenance

- Qualification: Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) Degree in Finance and Accounting
