Bus Driver position at Wits University Responsible for driving a passenger carrying vehicle, i.e. light passenger vehicles to ensure safety to themselves, their passengers and the public.

Purpose:
- Drive light passenger vehicles to ensure safety for themselves, passengers, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive buses according to the National Road Traffic Act.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain trip logs.
- Drive safely and adhere to timetables.
- Observe road rules and report any defects or non-roadworthy conditions.
- Wear prescribed uniforms.
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide courteous service.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and tidy.
- Report expiring vehicle licenses and COFs.
- Understand and comply with OHS, SHEQ, and University Health & Safety policies.
- Attend safety and compliance meetings.
Requirements:
- Grade 12.
- Minimum 3 years of passenger driving experience on buses.
- Valid Driver’s License Code EC1 (0,4) or EC.
- Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
Technical Competencies:

Compliance/Statutory Requirements:
