The Rosond company is now looking for eager and passionate students to apply for its bursary program. This is a great opportunity since this bursary caters to multiple technical fields.

If you think you are an ideal candidate for this program, then you need to apply right away. We’ve provided a breakdown of how this bursary works and what it expects from all applicants.

It even shows you how to go about the application process with ease. We strongly recommend you apply before the closing date.

For the academic year 2023, Rosond is encouraging students to apply for their bursary program.

Who can Apply For This bursary?

Students residing in target areas in the provinces of Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, North-West, and Northern Cape will be given bursaries for their studies in the following fields:

• Data Science
• Engineering
• Finance
• Geology
• Information Technology
• Management
• Mining
• Supply Chain

Before applying, candidates must meet the minimum entry requirements listed below (please note that if you do not meet all of the requirements, your application will not be considered):

• You need to be between the ages of 18 and 28.
• You must be a Matric graduate.
• You must be a full-time student pursuing a degree in one of the disciplines of the study mentioned above.
• You must be enrolled in a recognized and approved tertiary institution in South Africa and your second or third year of study.
• You must have attained a minimum of 50% to 60% on your overall average.
• You must live in one of the following localities or regions:
  • Gauteng: The following municipalities are part of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality: Soweto; Ekurhuleni Local Municipality: Mayibuye, Phomolong, Tembisa, Rabie Ridge, Kaalfontein, Ivory Park, Klipfontein; West Rand District Municipality: Kagiso; and Carletonville: Kosi, Greens Park, Wedela, Simunye, Bekkersdal, Hillshaven, Glenhar.
  • Richards Bay, Mbonambi, Sokhulu, Dube, and nearby areas in KwaZulu-Natal.
  • Apiesdoring 9 (Thabazimbi x 12), Smash Block Informal Settlement, Jabulani Informal Settlement, Northam, Rooiberg, Setaria, Rajputi, Thabazimbi Local Municipality, Limpopo (Leeupoort).
  • The following are located in the North West: Moses Kotane Municipality (Mogwase), Baphalane Villages (Ramokoka/ Phalane, Bojating, Mmorogong, Mantserre, Phadi/ Pylkop, Tweelaagte), Local Bafokeng Villages (Bobua Mpya, Channing, Freedom Park, Kanana, Lefaragatlhe, Lesung, Luka/ Mogono (Moruleng 0318, Lesetlheng 0374, Disake, Mokgalwaneng, Matlametlong, Ngweding, Ramoshi Botswana, Mopane, Kraalhoek).
  • Northern Cape: Skuyfontein, Griekwastad, Lewatle, Mapoteng, Olifantshoek, Kathu, Deben, Babatas, White City, Stasie, Postdene, Carrination, Groenwater, Janhaven, Maremane.

What does bursary covers?

The extent of this bursary’s financial backing has not been disclosed publicly as of yet.

How To Apply

Applying for this bursary is fairly easy, all you need to do is gather the following support documents:

• Identity card (certified copy)
• Matriculation diploma (certified copy)
• Academic transcripts and complete academic record (certified copy)
• latest financial report from your organization (on institutions letterhead)
• evidence of enrollment at a university (on institutions letterhead)
• Motivational letter to support your application and explain why the scholarship should be given to you (read our tips on how to write a motivational letter for your bursary application)
• Address proof at one of the locations mentioned above.
• Parents or guardians Proof of the entire family income (latest paystubs or bank statements if employed, affidavit if unemployed, proof of any grants or pensions, such as the SASSA grant, disability grant, other grants, or pension, if applicable, and a death certificate if the household head has passed away).
