Position: Streetlight Maintenance Officer

Department:  Energy
Division: Operations and Maintenance
Salary: R 221 880 to 304 344 per annum (plus benefits)

Core Responsibilities:

• Supervise and assist with the installation, repairs and maintenance of street and area light infrastructure
• Operate mechanical plant and equipment to facilitate the installation of services
• Comply with safety regulations as required by the OHS Act
• Execute administrative and general duties to promote productivity and service delivery
• Contribute effectively towards meeting the organizational goals
• Perform allocate duties to the required high standards to prevent financial losses
• Ensure compliance with the Batho Pele principles, maintain good customer relations and efficient and productive service delivery
• Provide effective and efficient people management to maintain a high level of productivity

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

•  Grade 12
• Valid EC1 Drivers Licence with PrDP
• Certificate of Competency for Operating of hydraulic lifting platform and mounted hydraulic crane
• 2 years’ experience in similar Municipal environment
