BACKGROUND
SABC is the hub of entertainment, news, and information to millions of South Africans. We have a portfolio of properties across 9 provinces to support broadcasting. The Real Estate and Logistics department is responsible for the management and maintenance of all SABC Facilities.
The SABC is continuously looking for highly talented young people to join the organization and has decided to offer an opportunity to young people wanting to pursue an Apprenticeship program.
PURPOSE
This is an opportunity to be part of an Apprenticeship program. The program is aimed at providing an opportunity to unemployed youth interested in becoming artisans. The 3-year Training Programme will allow candidates to gain theoretical and practical on-the-job training, as well as the opportunity to attain a Trade Test certificate.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of NTC3 or N3 in Mechanical/Fitting Engineering with a minimum of 50% for Mathematics, minimum of 50% for Physical Science, and a minimum of 40% for English
- Driver’s license (advantage)
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office knowledge)
- Communication skills (Verbal and Written)
