Description
Position: Cluster Coordinator (Fixed term linked to Political Office Term)
Department: Office of the Chief Whip
Division: Legislature
Salary: R639 292 – R851 410 per annum (TCTC)
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality control of the cluster’s research and advisory work
- Ensure that completed work adhere to governance and legislative requirements to ensure improved decision making by committees in the cluster and Council by extension
- Oversee identification and initiation of research projects to ensure that the agenda of Cluster Committees are informed by research
- Manage and coordinate research projects to ensure that research projects are delivered according to requirements of the Institution’s Research Agenda
- Disseminate research information to ensure improved decision making and continuous enhancement of the quality of support provided to the political principals, Council, and its Committees
- Develop and maintain relationships and networks to build and maintain relationships and networks with other research professionals to enhance the quality of research conducted
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant Degree or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
- 1 – 3 years experience in a similar environment
- Extensive experience in Journalism/Communication/Public Relations/Media studies will serve as an advantage
- Experience within a politically sensitive environment
- Strategic planning and management
- Leadership skills
